Daily Nature Walks
Join us for a guided exploration of MacArthur Beach State Park daily at 10 a.m. Free with Park Admission. Meet in front of Beach Outfitters Gift Shop. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen and insect spray.
Butterfly Walk
Join a Park Ranger on a walking tour through one of South Florida’s last remaining hardwood hammocks. There will be several species of butterflies to identify and observe. Also, learn which plants attract these winged wonders to your backyard. Reservations required. For more information and reservations call the Nature Center at (561) 624-6952. Bird Walks
Join us as we explore the seasonal and resident birds of the Park. Walks are scheduled each month on Sundays around the low tide in order to see our wading birds in the estuary. Reservation required; call Art Carton, Park Specialist, at 561-776-7449 Ext. 109 for dates and times. The program is free with Park Admission. Meet in front of the Gift Shop, bring binoculars, water bottle, sunscreen and insect spray.
Animal Feeding
Every weekend in the Nature Center at 11 a.m.
Join us to observe our resident sea turtles and tropical fish at feeding time and learn more about these amazing creatures.
Intro to Kayaking
Join us in the Amphitheatre for land-based instruction focusing on types of kayaks, necessary kayaking gear and basic paddling skills. The program is offered on the first Sunday of each month in the Amphitheatre at 10 a.m. Free with Park admission.
Bluegrass Music
Join us on the second and third Sunday of each month for Blue Grass Music in the Amphitheatre. (Second Sunday 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.; Third Sunday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.) Free with Park Admission.
Kayak Rentals and Tours
Rent a Kayak and tour on your own, or join a small group on a ranger-led adventure to historic Munyon Island. Every day at the high tide. Cost: $20 per person. Two hours.
