Summer Camp 2017
Give your child a summer of outdoor fun, sun and exploration.
Our goal is to help each camper appreciate and understand nature, to take an active role in the conservation of the environment and provide activities to increase independence, sportsmanship and self-esteem.
8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. – Drop Off/Sign In
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Pick Up/Sign Out
Sunshine Explorers (ages 6, 7 and 8)
June 12 – 16
For students ages 6, 7 and 8, campers will be introduced to environmental concepts through interactive games, crafts, and activities and enjoy swimming, beach play and outdoor play.
Junior Rangers (ages 9 and 10)
June 19 – 23 (session 1);
June 26 – 30 (session 2)
For students ages 9 and 10, campers will snorkel, hike, swim and kayak as they explore the Maritime Hammock, Estuary, Beach and Dune.
Marine Biologists (ages 11, 12, 13, and 14)
July 10 – 14 (session 1);
July 17 – 21 (session 2)
For students ages 11, 12, 13, and 14, students will explore the organisms of the coastal ecosystems by participating in scientific investigations such as fish counts on the Rock Reef, seagrass surveys, biodiversity of the estuary explorations, and Skype with a Scientist.
Marine Champions (ages 12, 13, and 14)
July 24 – 28
For students who are ages 12, 13, and 14 who have previously completed our Marine Biologists program. This is a more advanced program for campers who are ready to be Champions for our environment! They will be participating in elevated Marine Biologists activities and much more! There will be new scientific experiments, exploration, investigation, data collection, and fun! These Marine Champions will walk away from camp with a clear understanding of good stewardship and taking care of our environment.
Counselor-in-Training (ages 14, 15, 16, and 17) –
An opportunity to earn 40 hours of Community Service for the week. Must be at least two years older than the group they are working with for the summer. Click HERE for 2017 CIT Application
